Saturday July 22nd- Christmas Trees-CLR009

Happy Saturday Pear Pals! Tia here from RockyMtnCraftia.com. I can't believe I am writing to you from our boat sitting on a lake! And talking about Christmas! What a month this has been and the design team's cards are all so awesome!

My card today featues a stamp classic! Christmas trees! I wanted to keep it clean and use as many of the stamps in the set as I could. When I started to look at inks I wasn't happy with the way they looked on the white paper. What to do, what to do? In steps my Watermark ink to the rescue!

I think the tone on tone really let the stamp images shine.

Additionally I used green glitter embossing powder for the sentiment. And then a gold gel pen to help one set of lights stand out.

Star Dust stickles was also used to outline the snowy hills. The card exceeded standard slimline size, but sometimes your card just has to be big!

The month's not over, there are more team cards to come! Thank you for spending some time with me today!

If your not already getting crafty today, then get to it! For me, I'll be fussy cutting and enjoying the breeze!

July 12, 2023 Ornaments Set 2-CLR010A

Hello friends, Tia here with you from RockyMtnCraftia.com. Today's card is featuring one of the ornaments from the Ornament Set 2

One of my favorite parts of Christmas is decorating the tree! And I am definitely an ornament collector! From 1st Christmas' for couples & new babies, to ornaments from places we have traveled to and gifts from family and friends. Which is why I guess I love the ornaments stamps sets from Prickley Pear Stamps

I wanted to hang my ornament off of a tree branch, but I don't have one in my stash. Letting the idea roll around in my head, I realized I could create branches from an evergreen tree die in my stash!

After cutting many "limbs", I layered them on my card base. I added a 2nd layer so I could tie thread through the ornament and handing it from a branch.

This ornament set is fabulous for embossing or foiling. Gold glitter embossing was what I chose to do. I just love the details!

To finish off my card I selected a sentiment from the Christmas Trees stamp set, "Joy to the world the Lord is Born." and embossed it as well.

I hope your Christmas in July creations are coming along or that you're getting lots of inspirational ideas! Until next time-Go Get Crafty!

March 8, 2023, Peace - Stamp Set CLR277 and Build A Library Stamp Set CLR210

Woot Woo! It's Wednesday Pear Pals! Tia here with you from RockyMtnCraftia.com I'm excited to share my latest creation with you. I call it- Reading is my Peace and Happiness.

Last month Prickley Pear Stamps released the 'PEACE' stamp set. I've had so much fun with it, that I added the 'Build A Library' stamp set with it and came up with this fun layered card.

The Build A Library set is so much fun-it's almost like paper dolls. I first selected a neutral background to create my Library in. I stamped and colored all the room pieces I wanted (and made sure to stamp several extra stacks of books!)

Once I organized all the room pieces the way I wanted, I began adhering with foam tape to several layers of depth.

After all my pieces where in place I selected a solid piece of cardstock for my sentiments. I stamped and embossed the 'Peace & Happiness' to help them stand out and grab your attention.

Using repositionable tape, I glued down the top left corner and then pulled the lower left corner away at an angle. I added several pieces of foam tape underneath to create a little pocket.

I love how it turned out! It's almost as if the book is called Peace & Happiness and someone ripped the cover to reveal the cozy reading nook inside.

It's so much fun to mix and match-up stamp sets! Both the Peace and Build A Library sets are incredibly versatile and FUN!

I hope I've given you some creative ideas you can try! If you do, make sure to share them on the Prickley Pear Pals Group Facebook page.

Thank for following along!
