Hi crafty friends! Kim here with a fun encouragement card that I created using the Prickley Pear Cactus Clear Stamp Set! This stamp set is perfect for creating cards that I can send to friends having a rough time, or just to say "hang in there!"
I colored the cactus and the pot with Copic markers and I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I had a beautiful piece of digital paper already printed that worked perfectly. I wanted to add some sparkle, so I covered the edges of a panel of card stock with some beautiful copper glitter washi tape. Because the edges of the card stock are covered, I grabbed the first piece of card stock I saw, and it happened to be yellow... Didn't matter at all, as you can't see it. I layered the washi panel and digital paper with some coral card stock and adhered them to a white card base.
I embossed the sentiment on a strip of card stock, and I adhered two prickley pear cactus brads to each side of the strip. I adhered my focal image to the front of the card and popped the sentiment strip up on foam squares to leave room for the brads at the back.
Lastly, I added a coordinating bow with a brad glued to the center of it.
I love this card so much. I have a friends that is going through a really rough time, so I think it will be perfect for her.

Hello, Prickley Pear friends! I am back to share another card that I had the pleasure of creating with the gorgeous Brighter Days Ahead Stamp Set!
Similarly, to the last card that I created, I stamped the image at the base of a vertical panel and I colored the image in with Copic markers. I used the same mask that I used on the last card and I covered the stamped and colored image so that I could ink blend a beautiful daytime sky with Distress Oxide inks.
Once I was happy with the sky, I heat embossed the sentiment on a coral panel of card stock and backed it with yellow. I layered my landscape on the same colors and adhered them to the card base. Just before adding my sentiment panel to the card, I added a loopy nest of gold thread behind it with mini glue dots. Lastly, I popped the sentiment panel up with foam dots.
I really love how easy it is to change the look of this stamp set just by changing the color palette.

Hey everybody! Well, we busted through another week and it's Saturday again! But that's not a bad thing, is it?! Leslie here, with another card featuring the oh-so-gorgeous Brighter Days Ahead stamp set which I absolutely love. Besides the amazing focal image, there are tons of sentiments! A couple days ago I shared a paper-pieced card created with it, so I colored the image on this one with alcohol markers. It's difficult trying to achieve texture with markers but I think I did okay! ;)
I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card from ivory cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I stamped the image from the Brighter Days Ahead stamp set in brown ink on a lighter weight ivory cardstock and masked the lower right corner of the image. I traced the rounded corner of the card base onto the image, and colored it with alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment and added several flat sequins which completed the card.

I loved coloring up this beautiful landscape. I will tell you a funny story in a bit.
I took a trip to Arizona recently, along with several of our amazing Design Team members, and one of the things that struck me was how different the landscape is from where I live, and the skies are incredible! I saw some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets there.
Anyhow, I colored up this beautiful scene with Copic markers. To start, I only colored the ground, and left everything else uncolored. I used a piece of a wash cloth with some colorless blending solution to add a bit of texture to the ground.
I stamped the image again on some sticky notes and fussy cut it. Those that know me know that I hate to fussy-cut. I am terrible at it, truly terrible! I masked the image and I did some ink blending to create this night sky. Now, I have to be honest (here comes the funny story) - I was on auto-pilot when I gathered my Distress Oxide colors and went to my go-to's for a night sky.... Imagine my dismay when I lifted the mask and realized that the sun is up in the image. I don't even know what I was thinking!
Not to worry, though! I heat embossed this beautiful sentiment that is absolutely PERFECT for the scene, and I covered the sun! No one would be any wiser, except for the fact that you all know now! Don't tell!
I added some die-cut frames that I had in my stash, and voila! A beautiful landscape on a card.

Hey Y'all!!! Check out this second card I'm showcasing with the beautiful new addition to the Southwest Collection at Prickley Pear Stamps. What a great addition to the collection this happy desert scene makes. Stay tuned all week for new ideas for coloring this amazing Brighter Days Ahead clear stamp set from the rest of the design team. All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).
I started by printing the Brighter Days Ahead scene on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper and coloring it with OLO markers.
The card base is from Pumpkin Pie. The size is 10" x 5" scored at 5" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the fold.
I cut another piece of Neenah paper 4 7/8" x 4 3/4". First I embossed it with the Old World Paper embossing folder. I used the Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink to color it by simply dragging the ink pad across the paper. It only touches the raised edges. Looks pretty cool I think.
The mountain scene was fussy cut very closely leaving only a little white paper showing around the edges and glued down to the bottom edge of the Distress Oxide ink background. These together were glued down to the Pumpkin Pie layer.
The sentiment is one of 10 sweet sentiments from this new set. I chose 'The Darkest Hour is Just before Dawn'. So true!
I sure do love that background and all the bright colors. You know I'm just a bright girl.
Hey everybody! I hope you're having a fabulous week! Leslie here, with a beautiful uplifting card to share with you today that I created with stamps from the gorgeous Brighter Days Ahead stamp set. I did quite a bit of paper piecing with colored cardstock on this CAS-ish card and I wish you could run your fingers over it and feel all the texture! I love how it turned out!
I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from ivory cardstock. I stamped the focal image from the Brighter Days Ahead stamp set on the card base in brown ink and then six more times - once on yellow, light brown, medium brown, darker brown, medium green and dark green cardstock. Then the fun began fussy cutting each element or section and adhering them to the card base. I stamped the sentiment and added several Eyelet Outlet tiny heart sequins which completed the card.
Hey everybody! Happy Friday! Seems like the weeks are just flying by! Leslie here, sharing another inspiration project featuring stamps and dies in the new Southwestern Collection! One can never have too many get well cards in their stash so I created one using the Prickly Pear Cactus stamps and coordinating Prickly Pear Cactus dies that I paired with several purple and green patterned papers in my stash. I've always loved a purple and green color combo and I love stamping on patterned paper!
I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from white cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating purple patterned papers. I cut the edge of the larger panel with a scalloped edge die in my stash.
I stamped the images from the Prickly Pear Cactus stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on purple and green patterned papers and cut them with the coordinating Prickly Pear Cactus dies. I stamped the sentiment in the upper right corner and adhered a few gemstones which completed the card.
Hey everybody! Happy Wednesday - I hope you’re having a great week! Leslie here, sharing an inspiration project featuring some of the stamps and dies in the new Southwestern Collection that was just released last month! I created a pretty get well card using the Prickly Pear Cactus stamps and coordinating Prickly Pear Cactus dies that I paired with some pretty patterned paper in my stash.
This was a super easy design that would be great to mass produce to create a gift set! I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from natural cardstock along with layering panels and strips from coordinating patterned papers.
I stamped the images from the Prickly Pear Cactus stampsin Memento Tuxedo Black ink on natural cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and ultra fine point markers, and cut them with the coordinating Prickly Pear Cactus dies. I stamped the sentiment in the lower left corner and added a red enamel heart to the flower pot. I adhered a few gemstones which completed the card.

I created another fun card using the Kokopelli - Just Dance stamp set. I really love the sentiments with this stamp set!
I created a simple tag and heat embossed the focal image on it. I paired it with some fun digital papers and heat embossed the sentiment and created a double-ended banner.
I finished up the card with a few Obsidian Black Rhinestones.

I am just popping in to share another fun card from the new Southwest Collection!
For this card, I heat embossed the joyful image from the Kokopelli - Happy Birthday stamp set onto a digital paper that I had printed out. I die-cut the stamped panel and a border in a fun shape. I wrapped the border with gold metallic thread and adhered the stamped panel down, before attaching it to the card front.
I heat embossed the sentiment "Dance Like No One's Watching" from the Kokopelli - Just Dance stamp set and backed the sentiment strip with gold cardstock.
To complete my card, I added a loopy bow and some gold sequins.

Hello Prickley Pear Pals! Tia here from RockyMtnCraftia.com. I'm excited to be back on the blog today with a brand new release! The Southwest Collection! Such a fun and unique set of clear stamps!
My favorite aspect of this collection is how completely versatile it is. Let's face it, it's SO easy to create feminine cards, but when it comes to making those 'man-cards' we all freeze like a deer in headlights. Even worse...teenage/young adult male cards! (insert audible gasp).
My card inspiration came from my son. A card to celebrate him and his love of mischief! So the sentiments in the 'Happy Birthday' set were perfect!
Card Design
I began with a slimline card base 3.5x8.5 in. made with blue cardstock. I trimmed a white panel at 3x8.5 in. and stamped the strip of downward arrows on each side in green ink. It was adhered to the card base. I trimmed another white panel at 2.5x8.5 and prepped it for stamping.
Focal Background
For each Musician I measured a 1.25 x2.25 in. rectangle with a light pencil. I then painted a highlighted background with a mixture of Cadmium Orange, Burnt Sienna and Titanium Ecru acrylic paint (Liquitex).
I then stamped each image in the center of a square with embossing powder. I used WOW! Embossing Powder in Tarnished Teal-just to go all out with the Southwest feel! I had room for not only two sentiments but four! And went for it! I finished the card by 'popping' this panel up on foam tape and adhering it to my card base.
I love when I can pull paints and stamps together for a card! I had such a fun time creating this card and know my son will love it too!

Hello Prickley Pear friends! We are so excited to be sharing the newest release with you - The Southwest Collection!
I had so much fun creating with this collection, that I made two cards to share with you today! I love anything animals, so I really love the Southwestern Fun Stamp Set! It is perfect for masculine cards, though it really works for any occasion!
Masculine cards are a huge struggle for me, and I never have birthday cards on hand for the guys, so this was a perfect opportunity to add to my stash. I paired this stamp set with some fabulous digital paper that I found on Etsy.
Once I figured out what I was doing, these cards came together so quickly! I heat embossed the animals on die-cut circles and set them aside. I also heat embossed sentiments from the Kokopelli - Happy Birthday Stamp Set and cut the strip into a banner. I wrapped my card panels with some champagne colored metallic embroidery thread and added a loopy bow.
