July 28, 2023 - You Are Loved Clear Stamp Set CLR282

Hey Y'all!!! It's Christmas in July at Prickley Pear! I can't wait for the real thing. Check out this fabulous tree and these cute little birds decorating it for their special outdoor Christmas. Wouldn't it be fun to be out there with them? The tree and several fun sentiments are part of Prickley Pear's 'You Are Loved' clear stamp set. All the details for making this beautiful card yourself are below (including links).

I started by stamping this beautiful Christmas tree with these fabulous little birds on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper and colored them with Copic markers.

COPIC MARKERS:

• Tree & Decorations (YG67, YG63, YG61, Silver Gel Pen, Gold Gel Pen, R46)

• Birds (R46, R27, R24, B26, B24, E79, E74, E71, E70)

• Box & Ornaments (E18, E13, C6, YR23)

PAPER & EVERYTHING ELSE

• Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Paper

• Card Stock -Basic White

• Stamp Sets - You Are Loved

• Die Sets - Slimline Clouds, Slimline Wavy Edgers, Layering Circles

• Ink - Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, Azure Afternoon

• Miscellaneous - Bearly Art Glue, Foam Tape, Diamond Stickles

Here is the link for the clear You Are Loved stamp set:

You Are Loved Stamp Set

The card base is cut from Basic White card stock. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the paper.

I cut a piece of Neenah paper and colored it with the Distress Oxide inks that created a beautiful blue sky. The paper I colored is glued flat to the card base using wet glue.

I cut clouds and the snow drifts using the Slimline Clouds and Slimline Wavy Edgers dies. The clouds are glued down flat with wet glue as is the back snow drift. The front two snow drifts are popped up with foam tape to get it some added dimension. Make sure the foam tape is only along the bottom edge of the snow drifts so you have room to layer the fabulous tree between them.

My beautiful tree is layered between the back two snow drifts. Obviously you can layer them however you would like.

You are loved has some fabulous sentiments that you can use to create such fun cards. Deck the Halls is stamped with Azure Afternoon ink and cut out with a scalloped circle. It's popped up with foam tape.

I can't WAIT for Christmas. It's my favorite season?

Christmas Gift Tags Die Set

All three tags use the smallest two dies in the Nested Dies set. Obviously you can make them any size you would like with your favorite Christmas colors. I cut three of the 2nd largest die in a shiny gold card stock, a shiny red card stock and a beautiful solid green pattern. These dies have a beautiful edge to them.

All three of the smaller layers were cut using the smallest of the Nested Dies set. Two tags have a shiny silver layer and the candy cane has both a shiny red and a shiny silver layer. They are all glued down flat with wet glue.

Here is the link for the Nested Tag die set:

The colored images are all popped up with foam tape right in the center of the tags.

The Christmas Holiday Gift Tag stamp set includes 6 fun holiday sentiments. I choose three different images, stamped them all in Real Red ink and cut them out with a few of my favorite sentiment dies from the Stitched So Sweetly die set.

I added a few sparkly dots and some beautiful ribbon to each tag. You know I love sparkly things.

Merry Christmas in July!

The card base is cut from Real Red card stock. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the paper.

I cut a piece of Neenah paper and colored it with the Distress Oxide inks. Just created a random pattern that would show through the holes in the Silver Foil. The paper I colored is glued flat to the back of the paper with the holes in it and the entire piece is glued directly to the card base using wet glue.

I used the Connected Oval die to cut the shape from a piece of Basic White card stock. It's glued with wet glue to the Silver Foil.

My two beautiful Snow Ladies are raised up with foam tape right in the center of the Connected Ovals piece. Obviously you can arrange them however you would like.

Frog Dies

The card base is cut from Real Red card stock. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the paper.

I cut a piece of Color Me Happy patterned paper to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". Colors are perfect to be the background for my little frog friends. The patterned paper is glued directly to the card base using wet glue.

I cut a piece of Crushed Curry card stock to 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". I cut two more pieces of Color Me Happy and one piece of Flirty Flamingo.

Color Me Happy: 4 3/8" x 1 7/8", 4 3/8" x 5/8"

Flirty Flamingo: 4 3/8" x 1 1/2"

I glued the Flirty Flamingo card stock about 1/2" from the top of the Crushed Curry. The Color Me Happy pieces are wet glued at the top and bottom to allow you to see the strip of Flirty Flamingo. A small strip of garden green grass that I cut using a border die is cut to 4 3/8" long and glued right along the bottom edge.

The cute little frogs are tucked right under the grass and glued flat to the card. I think they might be holding hands. So sweet.

So many fun sentiments in this stamp set. I used 3 together and cut them like a banner. It's popped up with foam tape too.

For a little added fun used the little sun stamp. Stamped it on Neenah paper, fussy cut it and colored it with Y18. Popped it up as well.

Aren't you just in love with Spinach and Ramona?

May 19, 2023, Tea Set Clear Stamp Set CLR057A

Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here.  I'm sure there are tea drinkers out there. This stamp set, and matching die are so much fun. Beautiful patterns on the cups. And they pair well with their sister 'coffee' stamp set. Be sure to check out them all out at Prickley Pear. All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I started by stamping and coloring the tea cups on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper and coloring them with Copic markers.

COPIC MARKERS:

•Tea Cups (BG07, BG05, BG02, RV09, RV04, RV02, Y08, Y04, YG17, YG13, YR07, YR04, YR02)

PAPER & EVERYTHING ELSE

• Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Paper

• Card Stock - Parakeet Party, Pumpkin Pie, Tahitian Tide, Polished Pink

• Patterned Paper - Summer Splash

• Stamp Sets - Tea Set

• Ink - Pumpkin Pie, Memento Tuxedo Black

• Dies - Tea Set

• Bearly Art Glue, Foam Tape, Enamel Effects

Here is the link for the clear Tea Set Stamp Set & Matching Die:

Tea Set Stamp Set

Coffee Cup Die Set

The card base is cut from Parakeet Party card stock. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the fold.

I cut a piece of Summer Splash patterned paper to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". Colors are perfect to be the background for my little tea cups. It's glued directly to the card base using wet glue.

I cut three pieces of card stock (Pumpkin Pie, Tahitian Tide, Polished Pink). They are 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". I layered pieces of Summer Splash that are cut to 2 3/8" x 1 3/8" on top of the three pieces of card stock. I cut another piece of Summer Splash to 5 1/4" x 3" and glued a piece of Parakeet Party cut to 2 1/2" x 1/7/8" on the bottom half (this is the piece with the dots on it in the bottom right corner).

For the assembly, I glued the long piece of patterned paper to the left edge with the Parakeet Party square at the bottom. Then I randomly layered the three pieces under the tea cups across the card from the upper right edge to the lower left edge. The tea cups are popped up with foam tape on top of them.

I love all the sentiments that are part of this stamp set. "But First Tea". Isn't that always true! I stamped the sentiment on a die cut tea cup. It's popped up with foam tape too.

For a little added fun I used Enamel Effects to create a little wispy smoke effect on top of the Parakeet card stock.

All my mornings are good when I start with Tea...

March 25, 2023 - You Are My Sunshine - CLR268 and Rainbow Dreams - CLR261

Hi Pals!  Kim, here, to share another card that I created using some of the beautiful new products available in the shop.  Have you been enjoying the new release this week?

I had so much fun creating this bright cheerful card!  I combined two of the new stamp sets to - You Are My Sunshine Stamp Set and Rainbow Dreams Stamp Set.

I used lots of masking along with coloring the images with my Copics, which allowed me to create a one-layer image.

I paired this with one of my favorite patterned papers, which is actually a Christmas paper, and I distressed the edges with a pair of scissors to add some texture to the card.   I finished up with a fun bow, paired with a cloud brad in the center.

I hope this inspires you to do something crafty!  I am waiting impatiently for summer to come, but for now, this will be my taste of Vitamin D!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a few minutes!

Xoxo, Kim

February 23, 2023, Peace - Clear Stamp Set CLR277

Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here. Merry Christmas! Peace On Earth! I just couldn't stand myself when I saw this stamp set for the first time. It just screamed Christmas. So I just had to do it. Yes I know it's February. Let's just say I've got one card done already. Be sure to get one of these beautiful stamp sets for yourself! So many beautiful projects could be made with this stamp set.  All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I started by printing one of the PEACE words on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper and coloring it with Copic markers.

COPIC MARKERS:

• Peace (R29, R27, R24, YG67, YG63, YG61)

PAPER & EVERYTHING ELSE

• Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Paper

• Card Stock - Real Red

• Patterned Paper - Gingerbread & Peppermint

• Stamp Sets - Peace

• Ink - Real Red

• Dies - Layering Circles

• Bearly Art Glue, Foam Tape, Red & Green Dots

Here is the link for the clear Peace stamp set:

Peace Stamp Set

The card base is cut from Real Red card stock. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the fold.

I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Gingerbread & Peppermint paper pack. It's 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and glued flat to the card base. I made on more layer from Real Red and another piece of patterned paper. They are 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" & 5 1/8" x 2 3/8". I popped this layer up on the bottom of the card in the center with foam tape after I tied a piece of ribbon into a knot around it.

The PEACE word is popped up on the top with foam tape as well. Just center it between the edges all the way around.

I printed the image of the earth and the words 'On Earth' with Real Red ink. Fussy cut the 'On Earth' out like a banner and used a circle die to cut out the earth itself. The earth is glued down under the ribbon with wet glue and the 'On Earth' sentiment is popped up with foam tape.

And of course I added some dots. You know I'm all about shiny things. Merry Christmas Y'all! And Peace On Earth!
