May 19, 2023, Tea Set Clear Stamp Set CLR057A

Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here.  I'm sure there are tea drinkers out there. This stamp set, and matching die are so much fun. Beautiful patterns on the cups. And they pair well with their sister 'coffee' stamp set. Be sure to check out them all out at Prickley Pear. All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I started by stamping and coloring the tea cups on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper and coloring them with Copic markers.

COPIC MARKERS:

•Tea Cups (BG07, BG05, BG02, RV09, RV04, RV02, Y08, Y04, YG17, YG13, YR07, YR04, YR02)

PAPER & EVERYTHING ELSE

• Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Paper

• Card Stock - Parakeet Party, Pumpkin Pie, Tahitian Tide, Polished Pink

• Patterned Paper - Summer Splash

• Stamp Sets - Tea Set

• Ink - Pumpkin Pie, Memento Tuxedo Black

• Dies - Tea Set

• Bearly Art Glue, Foam Tape, Enamel Effects

The card base is cut from Parakeet Party card stock. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the fold.

I cut a piece of Summer Splash patterned paper to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". Colors are perfect to be the background for my little tea cups. It's glued directly to the card base using wet glue.

I cut three pieces of card stock (Pumpkin Pie, Tahitian Tide, Polished Pink). They are 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". I layered pieces of Summer Splash that are cut to 2 3/8" x 1 3/8" on top of the three pieces of card stock. I cut another piece of Summer Splash to 5 1/4" x 3" and glued a piece of Parakeet Party cut to 2 1/2" x 1/7/8" on the bottom half (this is the piece with the dots on it in the bottom right corner).

For the assembly, I glued the long piece of patterned paper to the left edge with the Parakeet Party square at the bottom. Then I randomly layered the three pieces under the tea cups across the card from the upper right edge to the lower left edge. The tea cups are popped up with foam tape on top of them.

I love all the sentiments that are part of this stamp set. "But First Tea". Isn't that always true! I stamped the sentiment on a die cut tea cup. It's popped up with foam tape too.

For a little added fun I used Enamel Effects to create a little wispy smoke effect on top of the Parakeet card stock.

All my mornings are good when I start with Tea...

April 21, 2023, Coffee Cup Clear Stamp Set CLR057

Hey Y'all!!!  Teresa here.  Yum!!!!! Coffee. Makes the world go around. Such a fun stamp set (and matching die) from Prickley Pear. Full of cute coffee cups, coffee mugs and sentiments. Be sure to check them all out! All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I started by stamping the coffee cups on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper and coloring them with Copic markers.

The card base is cut from Night of Navy card stock. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the fold.

I cut a piece of beautiful patterned paper to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and rounded the corners with the corner rounder punch. Colors are perfect to be the background for my little coffee cups. I cut a piece of Polished Pink to a size of 3 7/8" x 2 5/8". I cut a second piece of the patterned paper to 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and glued directly to the piece of Polished Pink using wet glue. I did round the corners before I glued it down.

I cut another piece of Polished Pink using the Connected Rectangles die. It's wet glued at a wonky angle to the back of the smaller piece I created above. They are both wet glued directly to the background in the center of the card.

I glued the Night of Navy piece cut with the Build A Frame stitched die across the top of the card and the Double Stitched Chevron to the bottom with foam tape. The fabulous coffee cups (and the point of the card) are glued down with foam tape at different angles for a little more added fun.

I love all the sentiments that are part of this stamp set. They are all so true when it comes to coffee!

February 20, 2023, Tea Set - Clear Stamp Set CLR057A

Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here. Coffee? Tea? I used to be a coffee girl but circumstances lately have made me switch to tea. Prickley Pear has two fun stamp sets, one all about coffee and the other all about tea. Also a matching die set. Be sure to check them out. Maybe they need a forever home with you! All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I started by printing the fun tea & coffee mugs on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper and coloring it with OLO markers.

COPIC MARKERS:

• Tea Cups (V2.7, V2.6, V2.4, V2.3, V1.1, BG0.8, BG0.7, BG0.4, BG2.7, BG2.4, BG2.3, BG2,1, YG8.5, YG2.5, YG2.3, YG2.1, Y2.3, OR2.6, OR2.5, OR2.3, OR2.2, RV0.6, RV0.4, RV0.2, RV0.1, White Gel Pen)

PAPER & EVERYTHING ELSE

• Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Paper

• Card Stock - Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral

• Patterned Paper - The Bee's Knees

• Stamp Sets - Tea Set, Coffee Cup

• Ink - Bermuda Bay

• Dies - Coffee & Tea Cup Die Set, ATC Antique Frames

• Bearly Art Glue, Foam Tape, Clear Dots

The card base is a beautiful turquoise blue called Bermuda Bay. It's cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side. Just a tip I learned. Make sure you use your bone folder and burnish the fold well so it doesn't tear the fold.

I cut a piece of patterned turquoise paper from The Bees Knees 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and glued it flat to the card base. I made several other layers with Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and patterned paper from The Bees Knees. The measurements are:

Layer 1 (bottom center) - 2 1/2" x 4", 2 3/8" x 3 7/8"

Layer 2 (left center) - 2 1/2" x 5", 2 3/8" x 4 7/8"

Layer 3 (right center) - 3/4" x 4 3/8", 7/8" x 4 1/2"

Layer 1 is glued flat to the card base and background. Laser 2 is popped up with foam tape. Layer 3 is glued flat to the card base. The teacups are popped up with foam tape and stacked on top of one another leaning a little bit like they would do naturally.

The sentiment is one of several sweet sentiments from this new set. I chose 'But First Tea'. I've just started drinking tea lately, having given up coffee. Delicious!.

And of course I added some glittery turquoise dots. You know I'm just a glittery girl.
