October 22, 2023, Scary Cats 2 CLR017A Stamps

Hey everybody! It's a beautiful Sunday and I hope you're having a great weekend! Leslie here, sharing a center easel card! I totally love fun folds and this one is so easy and works up fast. I used the Scary Cats 2 stamp set which I paired with pink patterned papers in my stash.

I cut the A2 size card base from white cardstock and covered the panels with pink plaid, polka dot and floral patterned papers. I stamped the day of the dead cat from the Scary Cats 2 stamp set in black ink on white cardstock, colored the flowers on her head and face with alcohol markers, and fussy cut her.

I adhered the cat to the center panel, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and added a few gemstones. The final step was adding a 'stop' for the center easel to rest on. I created this by stamping the circular cluster of flowers (in the same stamp set), coloring them with alcohol markers, and punching the cluster with a 1" circle punch. I then layered it on several more punched circles to give it some dimension.

September 10, 2023, Christmas with Spinach and Ramona CLR288 Stamps

Hey everybody! Can you believe how fast the time is flying?! We're already headed into the middle of September! Leslie here, sharing an inspiration project featuring the new Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set! This is one of the cutest stamp sets I have ever had in my hands and I created an inverted standing triple panel card to show off these adorable little critters!

I cut the card base and front panel from white 12x12 cardstock. I stamped the image from the Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set on the front panel and colored it with alcohol markers, adding some accents with metallic pens. I stamped snowflakes all over the card base and front panel and added clear iridescent gemstones to the center of random snowflakes for some pretty sparkle. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock, trimmed it into three strips, and added it to the front which completed the card.

August 19, 2023- Doggone Good Friends CLR287 Stamps and PPRS-D287 Dies

Hello Pear Pals! Happy Saturday to you, Tia here from RockyMtnCraftia.com. Today's design team card is from the new release Doggone Good Friends.

We all have that one friend, that "ride or die". I am fortunate enough to have mine within 5miles of me! We took plenty of road trips through college, including driving across the Royal Gorge, here in Colorado, with the top and doors off on a Jeep! So this stamp set made me think about how blessed I am to have her in my life and all the crazy road trips we have been on!

I wanted my doggie duo to have a little motion, so I tried my hand at a 'rocker-card'!

Grab your circle die cuts or anything that you can draw & cut a circle from and then score it in half. And voila! You have a rocker card.

I cut a smaller circle out of acetate that I knew my doggies and sentiment would fit on and adhered the bottom half. I then covered it with a half circle of "map" design paper.

The trick to a rocker card it getting it to balance. With just the doggies-no worries. The moment I added the road sign, I knew I had to balance it. Hello-the cactus from our Brighter Days Ahead Clear Stamp Set CLR285. After coloring and adhering one cactus, I was still off and went for the other! Perfect-o!

This is such a cute set, with so many great sentiments and adjectives to choose from! Find it here in the Prickley Pear Store: Doggone Good Friends and don't forget to pick up the die set!

Thanks for checking in today and if you get the chance-call that friend and let them know how "doggone" blessed you are having them in your life!

And then-Go Get Crafty!
-Tia

July 18, 2023, Ham Camper CLR068 Stamps and PPRS-D068 Dies, Ham Camper Winter CLR068B Stamps, and Santa Koala & Mrs. Claus Stamps CLR230

Hey everybody! I hope you aren't melting in this simmering hot weather! Leslie here, sharing an inspiration project featuring the super cute Ham Camper stampsHam Camper diesHam Camper Winter stamps and Santa Koala & Mrs. Claus stamps. I've been on a huge fun fold kick lately and created an adorable Christmas camper diorama card for our 'Christmas in July' showcase!

I cut the diorama card base from white cardstock along with layering panels from several green patterned papers. I stamped the front sentiment from the Santa Koala & Mrs. Claus stamp set in black ink, trimmed it, and layered it on white cardstock. I added a bow die cut which I embellished with a single clear iridescent gemstone.

I stamped the camper for the inside from the Ham Camper stamps on white cardstock. I paper pieced some of the elements and colored the others with markers, and cut it with the coordinating Ham Camper dies. The bell and wreath stamps are from the Ham Camper Winter stamps. I adhered several snow tree brads prior to adhering the camper into the aperture with foam strips. I added several small clear iridescent gemstones and a sentiment stamped in black ink and cut with an oval die.

July 10, 2023, Santa and Rudolph CLR278 Stamps and PPRS-D278 Dies

Hey everybody! Happy Monday! Are the weeks flying by, or is it just me?! Leslie here, sharing another inspiration project featuring the cute-as-a-button Santa and Rudolph stamp set and coordinating Santa and Rudolph die set! This corner fold is part of our design team's 'Christmas in July' showcase and is truly one of the easiest fun folds I've made that stands for display. I've made quite a few of them over the years in roughly an A2 size but I tweaked the measurements a bit and made this one in my mini slimline size of 3-1/2" x 6".

I cut the card base from white cardstock and layering panels from a Christmas patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment and Santa image from the Santa and Rudolph stamp set in black ink on white cardstock, colored the image with various kinds of markers, and cut it with the coordinating Santa and Rudolph die set. I die cut a rectangle from white cardstock and then cut a slightly larger rectangle (using the paper trimmer) from green cardstock to create the focal panel. I added several clear iridescent gemstones to the corners which completed the card.

July 4, 2023, Santa and Rudolph CLR278 Stamps and PPRS-D278 Dies

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday and Happy Independence Day to America! Leslie here, sharing an inspiration project featuring the most adorable Santa and Rudolph stamp set and coordinating Santa and Rudolph die set! The Prickley Pear Stamps design team is doing 'Christmas in July' and I thought these would be perfect! I sure do love me some fun folds, and this swing flap fun fold might just be my new favorite!

I cut the card base from red cardstock along with layering panels from ivory and a Christmas print. I stamped the deer image from the Santa and Rudolph stamp set in brown ink on ivory cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it with the coordinating Santa and Rudolph die set. I die cut a square from the red cardstock and a smaller one from the patterned paper, and stamped snow and snowflakes (from the same stamp set) on the smaller one in a very light blue ink. I adhered the layers together and then stamped the sentiment in brown ink at the bottom beneath the focal panel.

I layered a coordinating print on the inside and stamped another sentiment from the same stamp set in brown ink.

June 18, 2023, Mini Owls CLR024 Stamps and PPRS-D024 Dies

Hey everybody! I hope you're having a good weekend and doing something fun in this glorious weather! Leslie here, sharing an inspiration project featuring the Mini Owls stamp set and coordinating Mini Owls die set! These sets are so fun and versatile, and I created a half flap card in monochromatic yellows that would be so easy to mass produce for birthdays or congrats, or even friendship!

I cut a standard A2 size card base from white cardstock and layering panels from coordinating yellow prints. I stamped the branch and sentiment from the Mini Owls stamp set in black ink and extended the branch out just a bit with a black multi-liner pen. I stamped an owl on white cardstock in black ink, colored it with two gray alcohol markers, and cut it with a die from the coordinating Mini Owls die set. The finishing touch was adding several gray gemstones.

April 28, 2023, Moon and Stars CLR274 Stamps and PPRS-D274 Dies

Hey everybody! Happy Fri-YAY! I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! Leslie here, sharing an inspiration project featuring the Moon and Stars stamps and coordinating Moon and Stars dies which are part of the amazing Celestial Collection! I consider myself a 'fun fold fanatic' and have an oldie but goodie impossible card to share with you today! I've made quite a few of these over the past number of years, and this design never gets old! It's so versatile and can be used for many different occasions!

I cut the card base and layering panels from dark blue patterned paper in my stash along with additional layering panels from yellow patterned paper. I inked the edges of the dark blue paper with chipped sapphire distress ink before assembling the card layers.

I die cut quite a few elements from yellow, red and medium blue patterned paper in my stash using the Moon and Stars dies. I stamped a sentiment from the Moon and Stars stamps in blue ink on a yellow tag and embellished it with crafting cord, a strip of medium blue paper and some gemstones. The finishing touch was adding randomly-placed gemstones all over the card front.

March 27, 2023, You Are My Sunshine CLR268 Stamps

Hey everybody! Is your weather warming up where you are?! Our temps here in southwestern Colorado are still pretty chilly! Leslie here, sharing a fun fold featuring the You Are My Sunshine stamp set that was just released as part of the Celestial Collection! This stamp set is so stinkin' cute, I can't stand it! I had a lot of fun creating this hidden message slider card with it!

I cut the standard A2 size flat card base from white cardstock along with the slider mechanism. I then cut several panels from coordinating prints. I stamped the image from the You Are My Sunshine stamp set in black ink, colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut it. I adhered it to a scalloped square die cut angled into a diamond shape. I fashioned a loop from green crafting cord for the pull tab.

I stamped the sentiment (hidden message) on the panel inside the slider and added a pink pearl strip to the bottom of the slider, which completed the project.

March 23, 2023, Rainbow Dreams CLR261 Stamps

Hey everybody! I hope you're having a great week! I have an inspiration project to share with you today featuring the new Rainbow Dreams stamp set that was released yesterday! This stamp set is part of the amazing Celestial Collection, so stay tuned for more inspiration to come! I absolutely LOVE fun folds, and this one is an interlocking gatefold! I've made a few of these in the past and yes, they are quite fun!

I cut a standard A2 size landscape gatefold card base from white cardstock along with patterned paper layering panels. I cut two frames from silver foil cardstock using two dies in my stash and adhered them together for a little extra stability. I stamped the rainbow image from the Rainbow Dreams stamp set on two layered die cut rectangles (from the same die sets in my stash) cut from white cardstock, and colored the rainbow with Kirarina Wink markers and the clouds with an alcohol marker.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of white cardstock, colored it with a purple Ultra Fine Point Sharpie marker and trimmed it. I popped the sentiment up on double-sided foam strips, and added two enamel hearts along with 3mm white pearl strips around the silver foil frame, which completed the project.
