Lovely Lace

Welcome to Tuesday at the Prickley Pear blog where we take our theme of the week and let lose our creativity. 

This week, we're working incorporating Lace into our designs. 

Lace is the perfect accent for Prickley Pear cards, since it's classic and elegant, just like many of the Prickley Pear images.  

Check out with the Design Team did with the Lace challenge.

Irit leads off with this pretty card using Love Swans. Don't they look awesome in blue? The sentiment is from Heart Key Crown.
 
 

Heather has added a lace knot to her card. Background panels use images from both Hot Air Balloons (diamonds) and the Coffee Cup Clear set (beans). Images and sentiment also come from the Coffee Cup clear set, along with the matching die set. Finally, the background has been stamped with Coffee Stain. 

 

And our final card today comes from Lisa. She's added a pretty lace border to this card, also using the Black Eyed Susan Border and Memory Becomes a Treasure sentiment.

 

Just lovely! Three great cards, three great looks...and all using lace!

Wicked Washi

Hello Prickley Pear Fans!

Today, we're getting sticky. 

 And while that could apply to a great many things, today it applies to tape - washi tape. 

Do you have rolls and rolls of tape that you haven't used? 

Do you eyeball washi tape in the store and wonder what you'd ever do with it? 

Well, let us tell you how Wicked Washi is....

because it's turned me into a believer (or buyer).

Tracie is up first, since she thought up this fantatic theme. She's used it as a background to the Coffee Cup clear set. 

(Psst...you can get this set and the matching dies 

for a GREAT price in the May Card Kit)

Next is Michelle with this udderly cute birthday card using Bessie the Cow and an Udder Year Older. She's used grass washi tape.

Lisa clearly has a washi rainbow happening, perfect for this Life Doesn't Have to Be Perfect sentiment from the recent May Release.

 

 And Heather (who was in total washi disbelief) is off to the store for more Butterfly Die creations. Sentiment comes from the Scalloped Circles and Ovals 4 - Floral clear set.

Prickley Pear Card Kits

Welcome Fans of Prickley Pear Stamps!

Are you signed up for the Prickley Pear email? 

If you go to the Prickley Pear main website and scroll to the very bottom, you'll find a newsletter sign up in the lower right corner. 

You'll be notified of any specials, New Releases and you'll also be notified when the new monthly Card Kit is released in the store. 

What is the monthly card kit? 

Prickley Pear recently introduced card kits to their store inventory. These kits are a great way to add Prickley Pear stamps and dies to your collection and at a great price.  

But don't delay! Card kits are limited! Our March kit sold out, but you can still get the April and May kit (while quantities last).

The current May kit features the Coffee Cup clear set and matching Coffee Cup die set. The kit also includes all the pre-cut papers you need to make the two cards shown below, plus a mini distress ink and applicator sponge.

The stamp sets along have a retail value of almost $34. At only $29.99 for the May Kit, that's a more than 10% discount on the cost of the stamp sets alone! 

  

There is also still some inventory of the April Card Kit. The April Card Kit featured our Build a Cupcake clear stamp set and Cupcake die set. Once again, the kit includes instructions and pre-cut material to make the two cards shown, including a package of rhinestones to embellish your creations.

  

The April Card Kit is priced at a very reasonable $35.

Looking for some add ons? 

 This Coffee Stain stamp is one of my favorites background additions. It would be the perfect addition to the May Kit.

Thursday Design Team Inspiration!

Here we go again with the talented Design Team. Here to bring their inspiration to your Thursday...do you have time time set aside to craft this weekend? Prickley Pear can help you out.

Is it patio season yet? Tracie's helping urge it along with this colorful spring cup. This comes from Coffee Cup clear set, cut out with the matching die set.




And Sharon's ready to welcome the sun too. Check out this beautiful piece of artwork she's created using the Banner Die set. This sunshine wreath was stamped with the floral banner from the Love Banner set. The sentiment comes from the Spring/Easter Banner set. 

 

Tracie has one more project this week, taking flight with these Dragonflies in primary colors. These come from the Dragonflies 2 set cut out with the matching die.

Thursday Inspiration!!

Hello Prickley Pear Fans!
 Welcome to Thursday Inspiration with the Design Team!

Valentine's Day may have passed, but we're continuing the love today with a post I've called Opposites Attract. 
 

First up this week is Kelly with her clean and simple Valentine card, using Happy Valentine's Day. Love the layers and bright embellishments on this card!

    

And, opposite is this fussy and detailed piece of art by Heidi. She's enhanced Be Mine Forever with stitching, the fancy Flourish die and an adorable heart border.

 

 Michelle takes her Coffee Cup straight, with a light background treatment, perfect for spring! 

  While Heather tilted her Coffee Cup just a bit, with a dark stenciled background treatment.

Thursday Inspiration!

A Happy New Year to all the Prickley Pear Fans! 
I hope your celebrations were wonderful and you are ready to step into 2017 with enthusiasm. We hope you are ready to get inspired with these fabulous projects from the Prickley Pear Design Team. 

I call today's post "Coffee, CAS and Moonlight". Here we go!

Donna has greeted the new year brightly with Gnome Homes Clear Set and the matching Gnome Home die set.

 

 Sharon striking black and white contrast features the recently released Giant Tree and Kindness is Like Snow sentiment. 

  

Katie is up next with the Coffee Cup Die Set. 
The wonderful sentiment in this card comes from Riley & CO and is called Prison Orange is Not My Color.

 

Katie's second project this week also uses the Coffee Cup Die Set, but also incorporates the matching Coffee Cup Clear Set. 

Her beautiful heart background was made by carefully stamping the coffee bean image. Fantastic!

 

Sharon starts off the moonlight scenes part of today's post with Owl & the Moon. I just love this adorable image!

  

And our last inspiration today comes from Donna, who has also featured a moon on her card, along with the Weeping Willow image. The sentiment is from the Butterflies clear set.
