February 28, 2023, Peace CLR277 Stamps

Hi crafty friends!  Kim, here, back with another fun card that I created using the new Peace Collection.  This time, I wanted to create a hippie themed mini slimline card, so I focused more on neon colors (a first for me)!

I pulled out my fluorescent Copic markers and worked on finding some color blends that would work and then I set about coloring the images.  Once I was done, I cut them out and set them aside.
I paired a fun tie-dye digital paper with some colored strips and adhered them to my card base.  I added a die-cut heart and a loopy bow and then arranged the images on my card front.

This card was really out of my comfort zone, but I had SO much fun creating it!  I hope you are inspired to get crafty!   Make sure to head to the shop and check out the new release!  You will not be disappointed!

Thank you so much for spending a few minutes of your busy day with me!

Xoxo, Kim

February 27, 2023 - Peace CLR277

Welcome back Pear Pals! Tia from RockMtnCraftia.com here with you, sharing another card design idea with the PEACE stamp set-the newest release from Prickley Pear Stamps.

Earth Day is Saturday April 22nd and the PEACE stamp set is an awesome way to make a set of cards to remind family and friends of the special occasion.

I decided to make a shaker card filled with silver stars and the earth image from the PEACE set for my card.

Card Design

My card base is A6-4.5x 6.25 in. I adhered soft gray cardstock to the base. I selected this cool space background from a 4.5 x 6.5 paper stack. I used a rectangular die to remove the center and create my frame for the shaker.

With the rectangle adhered to the card base, I glued down a few stars and sequins to the paper so when you shake it, those pieces will stay in place. I edged the rectangle with foam tape and then filled with shaker bits from my collection (silver starts, purple circles & squares, clear & opal sequins).

I took the frame and glued it to a piece of acetate that was 5.5 x 4in ,

Before adhering the acetate frame to the foam tape for the shaker, I wanted to get my sentiments completed and glued to the outside of the acetate.

Embossed Sentiments

Onto vellum, I stamped PEACE in white pigment ink. I then embossed with Star Dust embossing powder.

I love the sparkly look it has, especially on the vellum! So I kept the theme going! Again with the vellum, I used purple embossing powder for 'on'. Coloring planet earth looked flat with all the embossing, so I had to emboss it too!

Using the new Seth Apter-Cosmic collection of embossing powders from WOW (avail. in the Prickley Pear Store), I used an embossing pen to trace the water-then heat emboss. Then traced the land and heat embossed again. You can see from above how awesome the texture and colors are!

Yes, I got heat emboss crazy because I just replace my worn out heat tool of 10+ years with the gorgeous WOW heat tool-again available in the store! No affiliate links-YET!  I really do just LOVE these products!!!

I completed the card by adhering the vellum pieces with ZIG-2 Way Glue. By completely covering the vellum-it didn't show thru once stuck down. After letting it dry for a bit, I adhered the frame and completed this card.

You can easily put your sentiment inside the card, but then the sequins tend to get caught up on the words. I'm also a very textural person and I like that you can feel the embossed letters since they are on the outside of the shaker.

It's only Monday-and I know the other Design Team members still have more ideas with this super fun & versatile set! So stick around and better yet-come play with us! February 24, 2023, Peace - Clear Stamp Set CLR277

Happy Fri-yay Pear Pals! Tia here from RockyMtnCraftia.com writing to you from a snowy, single digit day. I am SO ready for warm weather and spring! And that is exactly what I crafted when I got my hands on Prickley Pear Stamps newest release "Peace" .

For Spring, I wish you all 'Peace, Love & Happiness'! The Happiness sentiment comes in the stamp set and I grabbed 'Love' from the new 'Love You' set. Isn't it great how the wording from both are so complimentary?

I had background design paper in my head when I sketched out my card. But when craftia time came-I could not find a single piece of paper in my MILLION sheet paper stash (seriously-I don't think I'm exaggerating here!)

So, what's a crafter do when they can't find background paper they want? Create it of course!

Ok, let's get started. So, this is a big card. I wanted lots of space to create and have seen my "background" design. The card base is 5x7, each of the solid colored panels is 5x 2 3/8in.  I covered the seams with white cardstock at 1/8 in. strips.

Before adhering the panels, I stamped the sentiments down in white pigment ink and embossed. Initially, I thought to color those words, but decided they were too flat and I wanted them to stand out from the background.

I was gifted these cool glittery-paint pens from Japan called 'Kirarina Wink'. They were the perfect mix of pastels and glitter! I used them to create the hearts and daisies.

On white cardstock I stamped my sentiments again, this time in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used a 100 (Black) COPIC marker to cover the edges. With the details inside the words so fine, there was NO WAY I was coloring them with my COPICS. Fine line coloring calls for a Fine line pen and I used my Staedtler Triplus Fineliner pens.

I popped the sentiments up on foam tape and adhered them over the stamped ones.

For the 'Happiness' panel, I had a sheet filled with smiley-emoji's. I simply punched them out and adhered around the word.

I love how this card turned out! It makes me so happy and once again so ready for spring and daisies and Spring love!

I hope it's warm wherever you are following along from. Thanks for taking the time! Come back tomorrow and all weekend long! The Design Team and I have MORE ideas and inspirational cards for you with this GORGEOUS new release!

February 22, 2023, Peace CLR277 Stamps

Hi Prickley Pear Friends!  Today, we are celebrating this beautiful new release - Peace!  I LOVE how versatile this set is!  If you are into the hippie vibe, it's got everything you need!  If you want to celebrate Earth Day, it's perfect for that!  And honestly, I think it would make some beautiful Christmas cards, also!

I wanted to create an Earth Day themed card, so I colored up the images in shades of blue and green, and cut them out.  I found a perfect digital paper on Etsy to pair the images with.

I used a die from my stash to cut the little doily looking element and layered it along with a white iridescent bow behind the main image. I stamped the word "On" and cut it into a banner which I adhered behind the earth, and then popped it up on foam dots.

I don't know about you, but I love how this card came together!  I hope that you are inspired to get crafty!

Make sure to head to the shop and check out this beautiful release!  You won't be disappointed!

Thank you so much for spending a few minutes with me!
