Magical Birthday Unicorn

Today I have a sweet birthday card using Best Unicorn Buddies.

To create my card panel, I used some Distress Oxides and partially inked through a stencil I found deep in my stash (you know the collection of stencils I needed but haven't really used.) Do you do that too? I am working hard to correct that this year :)) I used Copic Markers to "rainbow" the unicorn mane and add some shading to the body. I added some shimmer and sparkles with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen and a few pearls for the flower centers (also in my stash.) I fussy cut the unicorn and adhered it onto the panel.

I used a pierced rectangle die to cut down the panel then I mounted it onto a slightly bigger purple card stock and mounted that onto a top folding white card base.

June 11, 2023, Best Unicorn Buddies CLR264 Stamps and PPRS-D264 Dies

Hey everybody! Dang, does it seem like the weeks are literally flying by?! I keep saying it'll be Christmas again before we know it and that's the truth! Leslie here, sharing another inspiration project featuring the Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set and coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies die set! I just LOVE these little unicorns and this time I'm showcasing them on a wiper card! Fun folds are my 'thing' and wiper cards are on my list of favorites!

I cut the card base from white cardstock along with layering panels from some cute coordinating purple prints. I stamped three unicorns, the rainbow, a couple clouds and several hearts from the Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies die set. I added tiny dots of dimensional drops to the flowers on two of the unicorn images. While those were drying, I drew some lines on the hearts with a white pen for a little interest.

I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink and cut it with a stitched mini scallop circle die. The fun part was attaching one of the unicorns to a strip of acetate on the wiper mechanism so when the card sides are pulled outward, up pops the unicorn! The finishing touch was adding several purple gemstones.

June 4, 2023, Best Unicorn Buddies CLR264 Stamps and PPRS-D264 Dies

Hey everybody! We made it through another week and I hope you are doing something fun this weekend! Leslie here, sharing an inspiration project featuring the most adorable Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set and coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies die set! I have made a bunch of different size step cards over the years and I've tweaked the measurements to make a slimline size to feature these super cute little unicorns! My go-to slimline card size happens to be 3-3/4" x 9" and I'm offering the measurements for my slimline step card (as well as a mini slimline size) as a Freebie on my blog if you're interested.

I cut the slimline step card base from white cardstock, two embellishing strips from white glitter cardstock, and layering panels from two pink coordinating papers. I stamped the unicorn and rainbow/cloud images from the Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them with the coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies die set.

I popped one of the clouds up on a 1/4" double-sided foam strip, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and added several buttons which completed the card front. This was definitely a fun one!
