Let's make a Halloween latch card!

Hello Prickley Pear Stamps fans! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Leslie here, from Love To Scrap 2, sharing a Halloween card using the super adorable Bats stamp set, Bats 2 stamp set and coordinating Bat die! This fun card is a latch card and it's super easy to create, so let's get started!

This card is the standard A2 size when folded, however, measurements can easily be adjusted to make any size card you want. Cut the 6-3/8" x 5-1/2" card base from white cardstock and score at 2-1/8" on the long side. Also die cut one large circle from white cardstock (or whatever shape you'd like to use for the right panel), score the right side of it and adhere it to the card base being sure the right panel overlaps the left panel. Cut layers from black cardstock and three coordinating Halloween patterned paper for the left panel, the circular right panel and the inside. Adhere the layers together and then adhere them to the card base. The general rule of thumb for layering is 1/4" smaller for each layer. Create several large die cuts (word or image - your choice) for the latch and adhere them on top of each other so the piece is nice and sturdy. Adhere only the left side to the top left corner of the left panel, so the right side of the piece becomes the latch. Stamp a sentiment and/or embellish the circular right panel as desired.

Stamp a sentiment on the inside to complete the card.

  1. Curious. Where did you get the inside of the card? I like the skeleton key motel page(?). Nice card
