Hi all! Hope you are having a fantastic week. :)
I’m here to share a new feature on the blog called 3 from 1. We want to show you how wonderfully versatile the Clear Stamps Sets and coordinated dies are by using the same set stamped with a multiple techniques and die for a card, a layout and an altered project in one post.
The set selected to start this is the Dragonflies 2 Clear Stamps Set from the latest release. It’s a beauty!
And the fun part is it coordinates with two dies from previous releases: The Butterfly Die and the Dragonfly Die.
Prepare for a picture heavy post…
First - a card:
The butterfly is stamped on cream cardstock with clear embossing ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Then it’s inked with distress inks: Dried Marigold, Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge. The sentiment is stamped with Rusty Hinge.
I used the other butterfly image to decorate the inside of the card. It’s double stamped to get a softer result. The stamp is inked up and then stamped once on scrap paper before stamped again on the piece used for the card.
And this is fun, the set includes a Hand Stamped By stamp! I always forget to sign my cards, but now I used the stamp for the back of the card – sorry for ugly signature though!
Next – a layout
This is my boy several years ago preforming his favorite song by The Ark (hence the title). I used both dragonflies and butterflies to decorate my card and I stamped them with Faber Castells Big Brush pens, which gives a bit water colorish artsy result. Love how it looks
And finally – An altered project
Our neighbors invited us to a spontaneous barbeque party and I needed a quick gift for the hostess. So I took a tin that had once contained tomatoes from our recycling bin and removed the paper and added some of my own instead. With a ribbon, a cut out tag pimped with the dragonfly and sentiment it was done. Took like 15 minutes. I loooove quick and easy projects!
The dragonfly and sentiment are stamped with Archival ink, Coffee. Look at the amazing pattern of the wings!!! And I love the sentiment. I thought it was perfect for the occasion, she really did color our afternoon (and night as it happened) with the invite!
I filled the tin with flowers from the garden and we were ready to go.
Hope you liked it! :)
Thanks for stopping by!
