Tea Rose Card

Yesterday, there was a fabulous sketch challenge posted to Card Patterns. I thought I would play along.

I used my scrapbook paper as my color guide. For the stamped portion, I stamped the rose bunch stamp with VersaMark black ink. I then pulled out my watercolor paints and painted in the flowers. Then I followed the sketch.

To add a bit of aged and distressed look to the art, I masked the flowers and sprayed over them with distress ink. I then stamped our Latin Flower word stamp with Shabby Shutters distress ink. The ink bled a bit, but that was the look I was going for.

Don't forget, we have a sketch challenge of our own going on until Tuesday. One random winner will be chosen for playing along, and they will win a $15.00 gift certificate to the PPRS store!

Happy Sunday & Stamping!

Another Fabulous Card to Share using PK Glitz!

Jennifer has a flair for vintage. Well a few ladies on our DT have a flair for vintage. I just love the rich brown tones she used for the card. Nice job Jennifer.

Here is how she made this card:
Emboss alphabet paper, age with distress ink. Stamp and color image. Mat and sew that on brown paper that has been folded to make the card, distress edges. Mat that entire panel with pop-dots on the lace looking paper, that has been mated on brown. Pleat and sew ribbon to the left of the page. Use the make-a-brad put a small amount of quick-drying glue in the top and dip in glitter. Coat that in glossy accents to seal it. Add it to the middle of 3 stacked brown flowers. Glue flower to card.

New Samples to Share

So, I was looking on our Design Team Yahoo Group today, and as always the cards our girls post are always fabulous. We take the cards that they make to shows. And I am always amazed at the variety in style that everyone has and the amount of creativity always blows me away. Today I thought I would share some of their beautiful work with you all on our blog. Hope you enjoy their eye candy. Both images shown are by Tracy Vinson I just LOVE how she colored in the Hibiscus. Happy Stamping!
