Cards to Share

We are so lucky to have such a great design team. When I sit here and illustrate, I see the stamps potential, and when we pass the stamps off to our design team, I am usually left with the thought WOW in my head. I am always so thrilled to see what our talented group of ladies do with the images. I have 3 that I want to share with you this evening. All stamps are from our latest spring release and can be found in the New Stamps section of our store.

Spring Time Celebration!

Leslie did a bang up job feauturing the Celebrate Spring 1, her Kioshi pad from Basic Gray and Twinkling H2O's. She stamped and embossed the image onto watercolor paper and used her twinkling H2O's like watercolors to color the image. "I love how they give just the right amount of shimmer to give the image some pizazz without making it overwhelming." Leslie

New Guest Designer - Christina

We hope to be hearing from her on a monthly basis. I had the opportunity to meet Christina last weekend in Mesa Az, ad the 11th Annual Rubber Stamp Events Mesa Show. Not only is she super talented, she is really sweet! And i have a beautiful card that I want to share with you of hers. And I am sure you will will be seeing more!

In Christina's words
First I placed the Doodlebug textured paper 3/4 the way down base card.
Then placed Bazzill textured black under that.
I placed small amounts of glue under the black parts of the transparency and placed that on top of the stamped sentiment and cut edges to even it up.
Then mounted overlay onto a piece of the Bazzill black.
Mounted that piece onto a piece of plain white card stock.
Then mounted that onto a piece of Bazzill black.
When I got the 'stacked' look I was going for, I mounted that entire piece slightly above where the Doodlebug embossed paper and the Bazzill black meet. I used foam tape to raise it up so it doesn't lay flat to the card.
I then took a piece of ribbon and place it over where the embossed white and the black meet to hide the 'seam'.
I made a bow out of the same ribbon and glued it just under the sentiment.

Products used :
Bazzill dot textured black
Doodlebug embossed white
Black glitter ribbon
Fall/Halloween ATC transparency overlay
Sentiment stamp

2 New Design Team Members and A Wonderful Guest Designer

Hi All,
Forgive us, it has been a while since we have posted. We essentially had two shows back to back, that needed our attention. But, we are back to posting! We were luck enough to see loads of talent with our most recent design team call. And they were hard choices to make, but we found 3 new ladies to join our team. I want to share their work with you know.

First we have a beautiful card done up by Tracy. A simple strand of pearls and all white embossed matting really set off our Spring Cross, and give this card a beautiful understatement.

Next a super cool card done up by Leslie. I just love this cowboy card. Now for here card and in her words.

Howdy Partner

This year, I promised myself that I would make every effort to make my special occasion cards and deliver them on time this year. So, in looking through my stash of Prickley Pear stamps, I decided that the cowboy theme fit very nicely with Father's Day. Here's what I came up with:

The front panel was stamped on an MFT cream perfect panel. On the inside, I decided to use several pieces of twine to hold my easel card open. Both stars were cut with my cricut, embossed with a cuttlebug folder, and the larger star was scored and folded for a 3-D Texas star effect. Both stars were also sponged with distress inks for added depth.

Paper: MFT cream perfect panel, Bazzil preppie, craft cardstock
Stamps: Prickey Pear - cowboy, windmill, howdy partner, happy father's day
Inks: Memento - Rich Cocoa, Brilliance - Chocolate, Distress Ink - Vintage Photo, Tea Dye
Accessories: twine, cricut, cuttlebug embossing folder - victoria, scoreboard, distressing tool
