Welcome to day 6 of our Cross Promotion with Cheery Lynn Designs!

Hope you all have been enjoying the cards featured this week! It has been a lot of fun working with our products and Cheery Lynn's Dies! The versatility has made for some amazing cards. Today, we have a lot of fun cards to share with you, starting with a sweet little image that was just begging to be stamped.

I love the Window Frame die (FRM 143) of CLD's. It was just the die I wanted to use with my little Rosebud fairy stamp (GG0135). I used watercolors to color her. Cut the window frame out of olive paper, layered onto design paper, cut and stamped three flowers (D015 & D030 with matching stamp sets). Put the flowers behind the Window Frame and adhered all.
For the background I cut one lavender panel 3.5 by 6". I stamped the FlowerBox Border in versamark at the top of the panel. I inked the edges of the panel using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I cut two borders (CLD B160) out of a darker olive and violet papers. Layer and adhere as shown. Next, I layered the frame to my base card. Then I adhered the fairy with pop dots. I finished by placing pearls in the corners of the windows.

Welcome to day 5!

Wow, I can't believe that there is only 2 days left to this fun cross promotion with Cheery Lynn Designs. This has been such a fun week, but keep visiting us as we have more fabulous projects in store for you! And thank you all for your wonderful comments, we truly appreciate your support and hope to bring you many more blog postings of inspiration and stamping goodness.

I like to challenge myself into making my own background paper to coordinate with the stamps I want to use when making a card. So often I find that the patterned paper is often so busy, that it competes with the images I want to use. So, for this card I made my own background paper.

I started with a base paper of a light olive tone. I then stamped a small hibiscus from clear set CLR002A. I stamped flowers randomly with Versa Mark and white embossing powder. I then heat set. Next, I pulled out my watercolor set and painted  the whole surface with a deeper olive paint. I painted randomly so it would look modeled. Then I painted the petals with a light shade of pink. Once dry, I went over the petals with a deeper shade of pink.

Next, I cut two panels one Olive one Burgandy that measure at 5.25 by 1". I then cut one CLD (B160 Queen Anne's Lace border) from a lighter Olive paper. I layered as shown and adhered the border to the back. Attach to card front once complete. Stamp Thinking of You (CLR002A) with black ink.

To create the Hibiscus and leaves cut one flower and three leaves out of olive card stock, using PPRS D002. Stamp flower and color the same way as the background. Stamp the three leaves with white pigment ink. Layer and adhere all as shown.

Welcome to Day 4!

I love pink! I am always designing in pink. Today I challenged myself to use a different color palette. Sherbert orange! I know... a huge jump. :O) But I love how this card turned out.

I feel like the doily (CLD), and scalloped circle stacker (CLD) mixed with our scalloped circle makes this look like a huge sunflower! With a sweet sentiment in the center.

Start with a card base of 4.5 by 5.5 when folded. Layer a white panel, 4.25 by 5.25 then a lighter orange panel 4 by 5". On each side of the light orange panel, stamp Red Rubber Stamp (Flower Box, GG0048) with Versamark, dust with white embossing powder and heat emboss.

Cut one white doily CLD (DL239), one scallop CLD (XM Scalloped Circle - XM-5). Layer together.

Cut one PPRS Scallop Circle, D0013. Stamp "You make me smile" CC0070 with Verasa Mark, dust with white embossing powder and heat set.

Cut two wings and one bird body PPRS D003. Using the bird from clear set CLR003A, stamp body and wings. I colored the butterflies and flowers with a copic marker and added more color by using my distress inks and sponge applicators. Layer the wings as shown and adhere. Layer all elements together and adhere. This is such a fun happy little card! Be sure to like us on Facebook!

Welcome to Day Three!

Today, we are showcasing a card made by Mary Boesel, my business partner. Not only is she a great business partner, but she is also a wonderful artist and card maker.

She made this sweet little card using the Little Girl with Roses (GG0166), found in the vintage section of our store. She colored with copic markers, framed with CLD (Dutch Scallop Square DL140). She embellished by adding a collage of PPRS flowers, sets (D030, D015 & D012). She also used CLD Ambergris Tiny Doily - DL245 for the base of the flowers on the bottom right corner.

Hope you enjoy this card! We hope it inspires you make a card this weekend! Please help to get us known. Like us on Facebook.

Welcome To Day Two of our Cross Promotion With Cheery Lynn Design

Hope you all enjoyed yesterdays posts. I know that there were lots of fabulous cards posted by our group and the fabulous folks over at Cheery Lynn Designs (CLD)! We have more wonderful cards to share with you today.

Our Dies and Stamps are just too much fun to work with. And when you couple them with the dies from CLD the results can be amazing. Their dies really do complement ours incredibly well.

Here is my second card for the week - Birthday Wishes.

Card base measures at 6.25" wide by 4.75" tall when folded. Plum panel measures at 6 by 4.5" and the cream panel at 5.75 by 4.25".

We came out with a second set of mini butterflies this year. On it there is a little cluster of vines and flowers (Mini Butterflies 2, CLR023A) I used this cluster to create the background. I stamped on a panel 5.5" by 3" multiple times. Then colored the flowers with different shades of pink copic markers. Next, I pulled out my distress ink pads (victorian velvet) and sponge applicator and rubbed in color. I did not rub it in too evenly, this gives the paper a modeled effect. I finished with pearls.

I then cut two CLD (B160) Queen Anne's Lace border dies from cream card stock. I distressed the edges. I then adhered them to the back of the flower panel as shown.

I then cut 1(CLD) Polynesian Sails Oval - DL153 and used the interior die only, from pink card stock. I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I then cut and stamped 1 PPRS Birdcage Die (D006). Next I pulled out my mini birds die and stamp set, (D026 & CLR026). I first cut our the body and two wings. I then stamped (we ALWAYs recommend that you cut first then stamp when using our stamps and dies). I chalked the body and wings with pebbles chalks. I then cut two butterflies, stamped and colored, (D023 & CLR023A). Next I cut 4 mini flowers and stamped, colored then layered, (D012 & CLR012A). I then placed pearls into the centers. Next, cut two CLD (B117) Fanciful Flourish from cream card stock. Layer all as shown.

I hand cut a tag for the Birthday Wishes (CLR023A).

Hope you enjoy this card! We hope it inspires you make a card this weekend!

Cross Promotion with Cheery Lynn Designs Week is Here!

And we could not be more excited. Join us today through June 1 for loads of wonderful, inspirational, beautiful cards that are packed with loads of easy-to-do great ideas!

Each day, leave comments on the PPRS blog and our Design Team members blogs. At the end of the week, two lucky winners will be randomly chosen to win a fabulous prize of PPRS products valued at $25 each!

To start this fabulous week off, I have chosen this sweet little card for my first post.

I love the nostalgic look of the little boy and girl driving the car. Reminds me of Valentines past.

To create this card, first, start off with a card base of 5.5 by 5.5 (when folded). Then I cut another panel of design paper that measured 5.25 by 5.25", and layered.

I then cut three strips from CLD (DL129). I used sage and two shades of pink. Trimmed to 5.25"  layered and adhered as shown.

I cut out the PPRS scalloped circle (D013) from cream card stock. I then distressed the edges of the circle with Victorian Velvet Distress ink and a sponge applicator.

I then stamped the image into the center of the scalloped circle, I used  PPRS clear set CLR016 Hearts 2. I inked with mememto ink and colored in with Coopic markers.

Next, I pulled out a sheet of design paper and cut 1 Cheery Lynn Designs (CLD) Felicity Doily (DL239). I then layered the stamped circle onto the Felicity Doily with pop dots. Next, I cut out two of the Angel Wings Doilys that come with the felicity doily (this is great for a matching solid shape to the very detailed doily) I cut one in cream and one in sage. I distressed the cream doily, layered it to the sage doily, offsetting the two, and then adhered to my card front, overlapping the border trimming.  Then I layered my main art to the cream doily.

I then cut out two leaves from CLD Flourish Leaf Strip (B178). Adhere as shown. The flowers were fun and easy to create. I chose to use the PPRS Blobby Flower Die (D015). I cut 5  cream flowers. I then stamped the flowers using Clear Stamp Set (Blobby Flowers 2 CLR015A) with black ink. I distressed the edges with the Victorian Velvet Distress ink. To create a little bit of dimension, I curled the flowers up at the petals and placed pearls into the centers.

Hope you enjoy this card! We hope it inspires you make a card this weekend!

Greetings Dear Friend - a card by Jenny Gropp

Guest Designer Jenny Gropp was inspired by fall colors and beautiful teals to create this beautiful card. Here are the step by step instructions for this beautiful card below in her words. Happy Stamping All! We hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Now these are my colors! I love this color combo. It is from the new Bo Bunny Collection "Mama-Razzi2" 6x6 paper pad. I paired these colors up with another new set of stamps from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The set is called Spring Flourished Ovals Clear Set. You can see the set below, lots of combinations to mix and match with the multiple sentiments. Of course there is a Coordinating Die too!

I stamped the image on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper using Memento ink. I hand cut this out. You can see I darkened the outside frame and added a little blue highlight around the inside of the frame. There is a coordinating die for this, I used it to cut out a small layer for the image.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the set in the top portion of the frame. I added some Copic color to the little whimsical flowers.

This is the inside of the card. You can see I added another sentiment on the inside that is also in the same Spring Flourished Oval Set.

Here's an up close of the front of the card. I added foam tape in between layers for dimension. Viva Clear Glass Effect Pen on the Flower centers for a little shine. I love the little lace border die that PPRS came out with! All my layers are created with Perfect Layer Rulers. The bow finishes it up for this card.
