Jessica's Chalkboard Technique Tutorial

Hello, Prickley Pear fans! It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts

I have a quick question for you.

Do you love the Chalkboard trend as much as I do? And I am really loving pairing up the technique with my Christmas projects! I know that there are a few different ways to complete the chalkboard look. Today I am showing you my favorite way.

So here is result:

I like to use chalkboard vinyl, instead of cardstock, to create the chalkboard part of the card. I stamp the image onto the vinyl using white ink. The ink will take a while to dry. So this is the part where you set it aside and move on with your day.

The longer you let the image dry, the 'brighter' white the chalkboard finish will be. On this project, I let the image dry around twelve hours. I used a cotton ball to smear the image.

Go over the image as many time needed to reach the coloring you are looking for.

Once you reach the look, it is time to cut the image out and attach to your project.

Thank you for stopping by! Stop by the Prickley Pear Store to see the wide variety of images available for your next project!

Have a great day!
Jessi
