Cheery Card

Good morning everyone, today I want to share a very cheery and colorful card.   I was in the mood for something with fun and girly colors and I found this patterned paper in my stash, I thought it coordinated so well with our "Blobby Flowers" clear stamp set and coordinating die.  I used an embossing folder to emboss the light pink paper, the dark pink border I made with a border punch from EK Success called abstract flower.
Here is a closeup of the flowers, I stamped them with a dark brown ink called Jumbo Java, shaped them slightly with embossing tools, and layered them with pop dots for dimension.  I used the "Scalloped Circle" die (one of my favorites) and stamped the sentiment also from "Blobby Flowers" with brown ink.
As my final touch I added some adhesive rhinestones and punched leaves.

Don't forget our Sketch Challenge is still open, make sure to enter for a chance to win a great prize, you can find all the details here.

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon.

Delicious Autumn

Happy Saturday folks! We’ve just had a real summer thunderstorm around here. Lights went out and the whole chaboom. But that doesn’t take away the fact that fall is closing in. Next week is September already. Yikes! The good thing is that Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps has loads of beautiful fall stamps.

Delicious autumn

The beautiful sentiment Delicious Autumn is stamped with Color Box Moss Green and clear embossed. And the background behind the bird is made with the Solid Leaf ATC stamp which was inked up with three different shades of green ink from Color Box and then cleared embossed. Both elements are heavily inked with Distress ink, Vintage photo. I love the clear embossing resist technique!!! The bird is from Build a Bird Clear Stamp Set, and I also used the coordinated die Build a Bird Die. The little crown is from the Heart Key Crown Clear Stamp Set and is cut out with the Heart Key Crown Die.

Don’t forget about the sketch challenge. Still almost a week to go!!!! All info can be found HERE!!!

Have a great Saturday!

Small Cheetah Card

Happy Thursday! I have a no patterned paper but a lot of fun ink and mist card to share today. And I’m using the darling Little Cheetah stamp! I’ve colored her with my copics, and I’ve done it without having the perfect colors. Instead I’ve layered different shades of colors to get that yellowish brown that I was aiming for. Amazing what copics can do when comes to blending!!!!

Enough rambling! First up – the card:

Cheetah

I simply love this sweet face!!! And the sentiment – Marvelous - is such a great one. I’ve used it over and over again since I got it.

The coloring – well, I didn’t have any color that was perfect for this Cheetah, so I used what I have. I Started with a very light skin tone in the bottom E 21, and added some Mustard Y26 over it all and then some yellow Y13. This gave a good foundation and then I added some browns (E55 and E57) and a more pink skin tone to ad some shadows and warmth (E95). I like how she ended up. :)

Cheetah 1

The background of the card is made with the help of fun mist from Maya Road and a mask. There are loads of fun masks now (have you seen the new ones from Prima???).

Cheetah 2

I cut the misted cardstock piece to the size of my card, and then went over it with Distress ink Frayed Burlap around the edges and distressed the edges with my distress tool.

Cheetah 5-1

I mounted the Cheetah on a die cut circle that was also misted and inked. I used pop dots for some dimension.

Cheetah detalj

I added some Glossy Accent on eyes and nose and the whiskers and the dots got some glitter pen to give her some flair. Isn’t she totally gorgeous!?! :):):)

Before I go, just a reminder that there is a sketch challenge going on!!! A great sketch and a FAB prize are waiting for you!!! You find all the details HERE!!!!

Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge Reminder!

Michelle here with another take on the Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge.  You have until the 31st to enter your take on the sketch.  There is a fabulous prize being offered, so check out all of the details on the Prickley Pear Blog!

I chose to go with another of my favorite Prickley Pear images for this card; Winter's Glow.  I colored the image with Copic Markers and accented the snow with Art Institute's Pearl Ultrafine Glitter.  I stamped the image on a Spellbinders Beaded Oval Die which I distressed with Tim Holtz's Tumbled Glass distress Ink.

The white texutred paper is a coated shimmer paper with a touch of texture.

Autumn Tag

Good Monday morning everyone, hope everyone had a great weekend.  Today I have a fun tag I made using my Cricut and some gorgeous stamps from, yes, you guessed! Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  I started by designing the base of the tag on the Cricut Craft Room design program, I used an image from the "Heritage" cartridge to make my tag.

I created the background by stamping the "Solid Leaf ATC Background" with perfect medium ink and applying 4 different colors of Perfect Pearls.

I cut the oval shape with a die from the "Ovals" little stacker nesting dies from Dies Direct and stamped the sentiment "Autumn is a Second Spring" with black ink, inked the edge with brushed corduroy distress ink and adhered with pop dots.

I made the leaves by inking only the larger leaves on the "Solid Leaf ATC Background" with scattered straw distress ink and stamping them on cream colored cardstock, I cut them with scissors and inked the edges with brushed corduroy distress ink, as a final touch I shaped them a bit with embossing tools.

I also added some touches of gold with the outline stickers.
Thank you for stoping by and until next time.

Clear embossing resist…

…is one of my favorite techniques. I love the many ways to use it and my Distress inks! YAY! So today I have a clear embossing resist card.

Two hearts

I stamped the Leaf Flourish twice with embossing ink and used clear embossing powder. Then I went over the whole piece with a lot of Vintage Photo and then some Brushed Corduroy along the edges. I splashed some water over it all, to give the background some more “life”.

Here is a close up of the Hearts.

Two hearts detalj

Both hearts and sentiment is from the Heart Key Crown clear stamps set. I clear embossed them too, and inked them up with vintage photo.

The Die cut circle is the Scalloped Circle Die – HUGE favorite of mine!

Thanks for stopping by!

Card by Angelica

Hi everyone, today I have a card featuring two stamps, the "Clock Face & Wings" and the sentiment from "Clearly Beautiful Hibiscus".  I used my Cricut to cut the 2 fancy label layers and the gray circular shape around the scalloped circle.  The corners and the swirls by the butterfly I cut with Quickutz dies and covered with a product called Ferro metal effect, it's made by Viva and it gives the look of aged metal to whatever surface you apply it, very fun product to work with.
I used the "Scalloped Circle" die from PPRS and cut the shape from green patterned paper and stamped the sentiment on it.  The butterfly image I stamped on purple patterned paper and shaded with distress ink.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day.
