Small Cheetah Card

Happy Thursday! I have a no patterned paper but a lot of fun ink and mist card to share today. And I’m using the darling Little Cheetah stamp! I’ve colored her with my copics, and I’ve done it without having the perfect colors. Instead I’ve layered different shades of colors to get that yellowish brown that I was aiming for. Amazing what copics can do when comes to blending!!!!

Enough rambling! First up – the card:

Cheetah

I simply love this sweet face!!! And the sentiment – Marvelous - is such a great one. I’ve used it over and over again since I got it.

The coloring – well, I didn’t have any color that was perfect for this Cheetah, so I used what I have. I Started with a very light skin tone in the bottom E 21, and added some Mustard Y26 over it all and then some yellow Y13. This gave a good foundation and then I added some browns (E55 and E57) and a more pink skin tone to ad some shadows and warmth (E95). I like how she ended up. :)

The background of the card is made with the help of fun mist from Maya Road and a mask. There are loads of fun masks now (have you seen the new ones from Prima???).

Cheetah 2

I cut the misted cardstock piece to the size of my card, and then went over it with Distress ink Frayed Burlap around the edges and distressed the edges with my distress tool.

Cheetah 5-1

I mounted the Cheetah on a die cut circle that was also misted and inked. I used pop dots for some dimension.

I added some Glossy Accent on eyes and nose and the whiskers and the dots got some glitter pen to give her some flair. Isn’t she totally gorgeous!?! :):):)

Before I go, just a reminder that there is a sketch challenge going on!!! A great sketch and a FAB prize are waiting for you!!! You find all the details HERE!!!!
