Happy Fall Card

Kristi Van Doren, friend of Prickley Pear RS. Has sent us this darling little card that features a couple of my favorite new stamps, the Squirrel and the Winter Birch Trees.

Here is how Kristi created this card:
1. cut base card to 4 3/4 X 6. She used Worldwin papers. The color used can be any creamy color. Sponge the edges with with Flanel ink.
2. Cut layer 1/2 inch smaller out of Craft Brown and stamp maple background with flannel ink. edge in old gold krylon.
3. Stamp happy fall in flannel and cut out with deckle scissors and sponge edges.
4. Stamp birch trees in versamark and emboss with a combination of copper powder and pewter powder.
5. With a bleach pen go over the tree trunks and edge in old gold krylon.
6. Stamp squirrel in versafine sepia and emboss in clear on craft brown. Cut out squirrel and layer on the the light cream card stock and cut out.
7. Attach leaf layer to base card
8. Attach birch trees offset a little to the left of the card.
9. Attach the happy fall at an angle to the card front.
10. Pop up the squirrel on the lower right side of the trees.
11. Final touch...add a bit of copper ribbon to the top of the card.

Thanks Kristi, for sharing this card with us.
